Hi everyone, I've been lurking for about a year and have enjoyed many a NGD. I've never really had the guts to post anything myself but I think this pretty lady is fit for an inaugural post. I've actually had this guitar for a little while now but just now decided to get off my ass and make a thread.

Specs are the same as a regular rgd2127fx but this is a sample model done in an Orange Metallic Matte finish. I think I've seen a few sample RGs around in the same or similar finish, but I can't remember where... This is also my first prestige Ibanez and I must say the quality is superb for the price. It plays very nicely and the fretwork is impressive, although the stock pickups are pretty dull and muddy as most Ibbys have been from my experience. I'll be swapping to a set of zebra BKP Juggernauts soon, maybe with a coil split or tap? I'm not very familiar with coil taps so any insight/reccomendations would be appreciated.

And finally, the porn (sorry for the shitty quality).

I hope my post has adhered to all rules, and if there are any aspects I can improve for future posts please let me know. Any and all comments are appreciated.
    Thanks for looking :wavey:

That color is easily better than the Chameleon color they put out. Great catch, man.

That guitar looks wicked in orange. I'm imaging double cream-coloured pickups would look amazing in that thing.

    Thanks alot guys!
I'd love to record some demos when I install the new pups, but I don't have any recording equipment around right now. I'll probably just procrastinate for another year.
    Someday...

This proves that the RGD line needs more color options. I don't know why they're so afraid to put glossy finishes on them, though. Every single variation of this guitar, including the DCM100, came with a matte finish.

About time I have my FX refinished in Kandy Burple. ;)

Yes, indeed, more color options would be great :yesway:
I would love to also see a green or a yellow RGD!

This is what Ibby needs in their production line. Happy NGD!

I never would have bought mine black if this would have been an option. This is my favorite color, especially for a guitar.

I always wondered the same thing, it would look so good in a glossy metallic or pearl finish. Also just imagine the rgd with a maple top and glossy finish like the bfr petrucci model. :agreed:

Man, that orange looks sick. I liked the chameleon one, but the orange is definitely better. Ibanez has gotten way better over the last few years at offering more finish options, but the RGD line is still pretty dull and boring. HNGD man, awesome score!

Very cool, thanks for posting. Love that variation and would likely consider one if available. Enjoy!
