This is my first 8 string and first Ibanez. Lots of people say these are the best bang for your buck if you want to get into 8 strings and this came up on Reverb for a great price. There are a couple small dings but you really have to look for them so I'm not complaining. This is also my first time trying out Blackouts and they're actually not too bad. I like them more than I think I would have liked the 808s (I didn't like the 707s in an original Loomis I had) but I've got a set of Fishman Tosins on the way as well as the battery pack, 5 way switch and locking tuners. I really hope I can fit the battery pack in there. I understand now why everyone likes the Prestige line. The fretwork on it is great. I can tell I'm used to the extra jumbo frets on my ESPs and the Schecters I've had in the past because these feel small even though they aren't. I was really surprised by how wide the neck was but the thin and flat profile is pretty comfortable and I'm basically used to the 27" scale from playing 26.5" 7 strings.
