I've got this guitar last week and tried it out to give an honest opinion!

Gas struck again when I stumbled across this beauty in a local guitar store.
I've always liked to looks and sound of caparison and pulled the trigger as soon as I could fund one.

    pics first!

lets start with a nice box:

The gigbag/case is really cool! strong, sturdy and easy to cary around

Features: I just purchased this guitar, and wow, it is impressive. It has a flamed maple veneer instead of a top to cut down costs but sure as hell looks sexy! the neck is a one piece maple neck. bolt on. it comes with a rosewood fretboard bound in ivory binding. 4x2 caparison tuners with a Floyd Rose FRT-S5000 in black nickel finish. the pickups are a dimarzio tone zone and air norton. it has 27 frets and a 24 3/4 inch scale. the neck is angled a few degrees. It is made at the fujigen plant in japan. //9

Sound: The sound is amazing! the pickups suit the guitar really well and sound good with any style you play. the volume knob has a huge role in your tone as it doesn't just roll volume down. I can play a lead preset, roll the volume down, and have a great clean/crushy tone. The guitar resonates really good and has a good sustain. //10

Action, Fit & Finish: The finish is flawless. The clear gloss finish is perfect, just as the collor. The back is see tru blue. The neck is by far the smoothest neck I have ever played. like butter! The action was set perfectly right out of the box... almost a mirracle. //10

Reliability & Durability: I have only gotten this a week but from what I can tell this guitar is a pure workhorse. I have tuned it once and is still in tune. even after a temperature change from 35 degrees to 19. //9

Overall Impression: After playing on many guitars this has to be my all time favorite. I can pick it up and just play without even thinking. everything plays and feels so smooth. This is by far my favorite guitar. I would never sell it! //10

C2s with better tops than actual Caparisons!

Oh man that is awesome!! I totally forgot about the C2 line. How does it feel with that scale length? I've never played a superstrat style guitar with a floyd and a 24 3/4 scale. Congrats!!

I notice no difference campared to my ibanez. That one has a 25.5 inch scale.
Soloing is easier on the caparison. Arpeggios are super easy up to the 24th fret. Couldn't play them on my ibanez. Nothing gets in the way thanks to the 27 frets :)

HNGD! That guitar looks amazing. I have sadly never played a Caparison, and had no idea about the C2 series until now! And I am psyched on that, might have to be my next guitar purchase..

Damn, that thing looks super clean. I mean look at the electronic cavity that's really nice and well manufactured.

How would you compare this one to a higher end Caparison ? (The question goes to everyone)

I don't know the price range on those but a gig bag is a bit cheap to me, (even if it has good quality, as the pictures show) maybe it keeps the pricing low ?

I had a jam session with someone who owns a horus and I will be honest.
They sound different. Mostly due to the different pickups. It resonates just as good! The horus has a higher quallity tremolo. The neck plays just as smooth! The craftsmenship on both is perfect. Fretwork and intonation are both spot on.

That's some serious business, as it's lower than some LTD and on par with Iron Labels while sporting a greater quality,
Caparison set for the world conquering?

Congratulations on your Caparison. They are awesome guitars and I'm sure it will bring you much enjoyment.

Guys (and gals), if you're thinking about it, get yourself a Caparison. It will be unlike any other guitar you've ever played. I have an Applehorn and it is just a beast. I absolutely love playing it.

I've thought about a C2, but I love those damn clock inlays. I'd have to get a full on Caparison or I'd be disappointed. Soo damn expensive though.

That blue C2 looks hot though man.

Very cool. I have been wanting another Horus lately. I have had two Hori and an Amott Dellinger in the past. Caparison builds great guitars.
