I built another guitar. This time it's a heavily Blackmachine-inspired build, however with certain tweaks to my liking. The original jack is not ideally placed for my playing position, the bevel arm rest is useless (you start with one edge and basically create 2 new ones - hooray!), the lack of a belly cut is also an issue for me. I tried to overcome all shortcomings (imho) with this build. Let's go to the specs, shall we? Body: 2pcs Swamp Ash 30mm Top: 5pcs Ebony 5mm Neck: Laminated, 5pcs, Swietenia Mahagony and Wengé Fretboard: Ebony 5.5mm Headstock: Ebony 2mm Bridge: Schaller Hannes Tuner: Schaller M6 Mini Locking with Ebony buttons Pots: CTS Push Pull (2 Volume, Coil Split, Phase Reverse) Switch: 3way DPDT Pickups: BKP Holy Divers Frets: 24 Stainless steel, 1.4x1.2mm Nut: Graphtec Tusq 42mm Strap buttons: Dunlop StrapLok Flush Binding: Ivoroid 6mm Tuning: 10-52s tuned to D standard Weight: 2.99kg I love the sound of the Holy Divers and am overall really happy with the guitar. It has a very hot rod style sound with a badass crunchy growl in there, love it. I would have never thought I'd settle for a classic superstrat shaped guitar, but here I go. More pics!
