I've had the kiesel for a couple of months now and the Knightro for about a week, figured I should do a double NGD since they pair so nicely.

    Knightro Pioneer MS8 "Sombra"
    Build thread: http://www.sevenstring.org/threads/knightro-pioneer-8-build-thread.324394/
    specs:
    28-26.5" scale
Ridiculously pretty ziricote top (literally the first piece andrew showed me)
    fancy pants ribbon sapele
    ebony fretboard
MOP side dots, no inlays on the face of the fretboard
    24 jumbo stainless frets
    blind cut fret slots
wenge/sapele neck with ebony scarf laminate and ebony veneer on the headstock
    black hardware
    hipshot locking barrel tuners/angled bridge
Elysian Goliath pickups with ebony bobbins (aka the modern wind)
1v1t with 3 way, both vol and tone are push/pull (up=humbucker, down=coil split)
    Dunlop flushmount straplocks
Aesthetics: Obviously the aesthetics are on point, the figuring on the woods is exactly what I wanted/asked for. The sapele laminates in the neck were Andrew's idea and they do a great job of tying the neck into the sapele body. The ebony headstock veneer blends really well with the ebony fretboard and helps keep the attention on the awesome top.
Sound: The push/pull for each pickup really gives me a lot more versatility and even lets me pretend that I'm playing a non-metal tele with the spanky split sounds. I've gushed about the elysian modern winds since I got my first set and I still love em. They're the clearest 8 string pickups I've ever used besides the lace x-bars, but they have significantly more character to them. The modern winds have a nice relatively tight/chunky low end with a good amount of mids that gives them a nice snarling voice under high gain. the neck pickup is smooth and warm, kind of like a liquifire or cold sweat (though the cold sweat is warmer ime). The cleans are fantastic and chimey from these pickups. They can cover a lot of tonal ground though they excel at more modern sounds due to their voicing.
    VIDEO:

Fit/Finish/Playability: The only real issue is there's some very very minor scratching on the top in one spot (it's very hard to see unless you're super close). Frets are dressed better than my exploder and there's no buzzing/dead spots, or other issues that you see on poorly set up guitars. It plays like a dream, it's comfy, there's no neck dive due to the thicker body (which counterbalances the neck). Andrew really knocked it out of the park with this one. I love the feel of the oiled wenge/sapele neck and how you can feel the pores of the wenge.
I can easily recommend Knightro guitars, Andrew was always prompt with emails and sending pics of the build/indulging me in whatever stupid mockup I asked him to make. He's a great builder to work with.

    Kiesel Vader multiscale 8 "Luz"
    specs:
    27.5-26" scale
fancy ziricote top (picked out by jeff himself apparently)
maple laminate middle/ chambered koa body
5 pc walnut/koa neck (oiled neck)
Kiesel Treated fretboard *Baked Birdseye Maple*
    Offset Abalone inlays
    Abalone tone/volume knobs
    Rosewood Cavity control plate
    Luminlay side dots
    24 Jumbo Stainless steel frets
    Lithium humbuckers / vol /tone / 5-way PU selector
    Hipshot headless bridge/headpiece
    Dunlop straplocks

Bought this off a guy on reverb and man is it nice.
Aesthetics: Minus some fingerprints from the previous owner it's in tip-top shape. The ziricote top is killer, especially under the gloss finish, it just pops. The koa has some really nice figuring, same with the birdseye fingerboard (I generally don't like birdseye but this looks really nice). The maple laminate really plays well off the finger board too.
Sound : I love the aesthetics of my other vm8 but never really liked the sound of it as much (the lithiums were too bright in it). This one has a different sound though, it's much thicker and warmer sounding than my limba/maple VM8. The lithiums snarl a little under high gain and the split positions don't feel as snappy as they do in my other VM8. Cleans are still great and have some snap to em, but it's not ridiculously spanky like my other vm8.
Fit/Finish/Playability: This guitar plays so damn well, no rough fret edges, no dead spots or buzzing. It begs you to keep playing it. Super comfortable guitar (just like my other vm8), balances really well too. I looked it over multiple times and there's no issues in the finish/fit.
Kiesel makes great guitars imo , I'm 4 for 4 that they've knocked out of the park.

the neck wood of the Knightpro on the vader instead would be like one of the best modern guitars ever haha.
Although having 2 axes like this is better than 1.

    Amazing instruments. Congrats OP.

thanks, the guitar definitely turned out great, the different sized laminates was Andrew's idea, it does look really cool. the tuners are great, hipshot makes excellent tuners.
thanks, if kiesel ever starts offering wenge necks my wallet is going to be in trouble. I love the look and feel of it.

I was half expecting a 8x2 (dual course 8 string) looking a little like one neck of this by Emerald Guitars:
