Got a wrist issue.....don't know WTF, but all my guitars are killing it lately after about 30 minutes. I have the GT and a few LTDs and a Horizon, and they're all either too thick or too medium sized, I guess. Wanted to try something thinner, so enter this.

J Craft, MIJ, mahog body, maple top, 5 piece neck, Gibraltar bridge (these things rule hard) Deactivator bridge and PAF Pro neck. Nice and light at around 7 lbs, sounds like a monster. It's in drop B, and the Deactivator is tight enough but got some sludgy grit to it that I dig. From everything I've read, I was prepared to change it out for something tighter like a Black Winter immediately, but no need. I'm not super picky on pickups, I just know if I like them or not. This one stays. See what happens with the guitar...neck is a .... ton thinner than I'm used to so it'll take some time. If no good, it goes and I'm onto the next.

Far as the sticker/paint go, the sticker is already gone and I'm unsure about the paint. I don't know what it is or how long it's been on there, if it's UV resistant etc.....so I don't know if I remove it there might be a massive clean patch that doesn't match the guitar. It's a lot better looking in person, the camera can't capture it. Undecided, but anyone got any ideas? Acetone maybe?

No idea, man. Must have meant something to someone lol. No worries, doesn't effect the tone.

I got a SMOKING deal, so there is that.

Nice find! I had the DA/PAF Pro pair in an RG for a good while and only changed it recently to dual PAF Pros since I had a spare lying around. Not that the DA didn't kick ass; I was just bored and curious

Weird that your wrist is cramping up on thicker necks and a thinner one is helping you  most people have the opposite problem, myself included. Glad it's seeming to help, though :yesway:

HNGD! I've been curious about these for many years ever since I saw ABR's "Meddler" video

Try some nail polish remover on a small spot on the back of the body to see what it does to the finish. If it doesn't eat through it, a little nail polish and some light rubbing may take the paint off.

Glad it came off easy! Looks like a slick guitar! How do you like the neck on it?

Been playing off and on since about 3 and it's almost 10. So far so good, see what happens.

I thought about what you said about rounding the neck off, as you were right about the shape. It's a really shallow D....you got a pic of what you did?

Dude that bugs me. Anybody know why? This is pretty much the best Ibby I've ever played.

I joke with myself that they were simply too good, so Ibanez needed to discontinue them to give any of their future models a chance

They weren't selling very well. Apparently people only seem to like these at killer second-hand prices, when they got discontinued stores were blowing them out the door for like $600 brand new. Kind of makes sense when you stop and remind yourself that a major chunk of Ibanez's fan base seems to be trem or bust guys, the hard tail models always seem to be 'cult classics' but have rather poor sales.

And those fabulous sparkle finishes probably didn't help, either
The vintage violin and natural finishes like this one looked so damn good though.

I've been dying to pick one of these suckers up, I just can't ever find these killer deals you guys always do. Something else always pops up that's just a slightly better buy.
