Didn't see a thread yet, so here it is:
Glad to see them putting out some new stuff. Been friends with these guys for many years. While I don't know the newest members, this band has always been a great group of people.
I'm glad they're putting out new music. I've been a fan since Bloodlust came out.
Bloodlust is one of my all time favorite records.
I'm definitely excited about this one. I have also been a huge fan of Bloodlust, and that is also one of my all time favorite albums.
So, both Anthony Gunnells (Bloodlust), and Nate Johnson (Malice), make "strong" guest appearances on the album. I am so stoked to hear Anthony again. I may be in the minority here, but he was my favorite TTEOTD vocalist. He was so unique. His vocal style was mad creepy, and his lyrics were awesome. I don't care that he used a pedal to add that effect.
I agree, Anthony was my favorite vocalist as well. He didn't use a pedal for his vocals in the studio or live. Bloodlust was recorded with a Shure SM57-B. Live the only thing he had was a boss looper pedal to play samples from the record through the PA, that's all.
these guys are awesome and I lost my poop when I saw that had a new song
Looks like Justin just did a play through promoting Positive Grid.
Here's another killer new song.
I was just thinking about this band, as I have bloodlust and malice and haven't spun either for a long time. Malice was such a great workout album.
I hope they get some traction with the new stuff
That new song Obitual is freakin sick. Anthony Gunnells on the track too...awesome.
I agree Gunnels is my favorite singer the band has had. His vocals style was/is unique.
New song up. This one's got Nate in it.
Justin is my step-brother's cousin, so I've been listening to TTEOTD since The Scar of Ages EP. This sounds like it's going to be their best album to date. So hyped.
Was able to access the download from my preorder this morning. Listened to the whole album on my way to work. Damn! What a sick album! Great way to come back! Anyone else preorder?
Malice is one of my favorite albums ever and came out early in my metal development, so I'm not sure if Disomus will pass it. But goddamn this album is a huge step up from Skepsis (which I liked). It easily has the best solos of any of their albums, too. Shame this thread doesn't have more activity. Probably too much testosterone and tuned too high for a lot of this forum's tastes.
I'm surprised at the lack of attention too. This is a phenomenal album. I agree that it is a huge step up from Skepsis, which I also enjoyed.
Danny's vocals sound monstrous, and the lyrics are top notch.
This might be my favorite song on the album...so far.
^ The midsection and solo on that one are so sick.
