I was pissed off, so I wrote and recorded this short little song in 8 hours and would like some feedback from SS.org. :hbang:

    It's tuned lowest to highest-

    G-C-G-C-F-A-D
almost down to an 8, but still not quite F or F#.

There aren't a lot of layers in it, but it sounds punchy as hell at the end. This one I'm keeping for rerecording.

    opinions?

using my temporary set up until I get my pod xt fixed and metal foundry...just like everyone else on this forum.

I relistened to this song, and it just is off a little bit in almost every part. it's just not well recorded lol.

I was up all night writing it, then finally recorded it at around 7 in the morning.

not to sound like an ass but...

it sounds like 3 separate ideas that have nothing to do with each other.
each idea itself is cool, but they just don't go together.

Kind of like when you have 3 myspace tabs open at the same time, and they all start playing.

no, i wasn't referring to the layering.

what i meant is that the first riff has nothing to do with the second riff, which has nothing to do with the last two riffs.

it just sounds like 3 riffs strung together without flow into each other at all. they tell different stories that don't make a cohesive whole.

the last four songs I've put on soundclick are all just demos of parts strung together...they really don't flow at all.

I'm having terrible writer's block lately, and I'm just recording ideas. all of the songs sound like that.

there are no layers in the song at all hardly, except the first part-but it sounds like ass.

and don't worry, I take in all criticism. I'd rather have a lot of honest answers then none at all.

I like it very much.. That last part really sounded good atleast a very good riff to go with.

thanks, that's my favorite riff too. :yesway:

probably the only one that will make it out of this song.
