New song up on Spotify/YT, from fucking out of NOWHERE, this shit sound really good. Let's hope it's not like IID where they show off "Blades of Baal" and the rest blows goats

The new song's definitely not bad, especially after Illud! I'm glad the song sounds a lot more like Formulas than Heretic too. The downside is that it sounds kinda stock. Gotta check out the album nonetheless!

Well, I don't think they're going to want to release the most ambitious song of the album first.

That would be like if they released Covenant Of Death when FFTTF came out first before a track like Nothing Is Not. Both great tracks, but obviously COD is a more progressive and ambitious song for Morbid Angel at that time.

I'm sure it's a similar thing for this album. They released this song because they knew that they needed to reel some fans back in going, "Don't worry, we're back with a vengeance, our sound is still in tact" and then when the album comes out, they're gonna have much more interesting songs than songs like these where the trademarked Morbid Angel sound is the most prominent.

I'm excited for this record nonetheless.

I'm very excited. I don't know why. Tucker coming back, probably.

I've listened to the new track a few times today and dig it, really looking forward to hearing the album in its entirety.

Maybe I'm just rusty with my Morbid Angel or does the band not know of the existence of the letter "J"?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume that the title of the song is in reference to what Marlon Brando said in the movie, Apocalypse Now (1979).

From the movie: "We went back there, and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms".

They played their new song warped live when I saw them, and it was fucking sick.

The new song that just dropped is pretty nuts too.

    I'm stoked.
I like this more than Warped, but I honestly think Warped will sound better on the release than live, although it sounded pretty freakin badass.

Anyhow, I'm optimistic, I've heard some other stuff and I'm not worried.

No song is great - though the cymbals are quite high in volume!

I don't think the new track sounded too stock. "Nevermore" off the last album was typical stock, give the fans what they want (of course we know what happened on the rest of the album :D ) but this new song is pretty damn dark, angry and obscure. I really like it.

I just learned of a band that appears to have existed on the internet for all of 6 days now, that has put out an EP worthy being Altars of Madness' long-lost-twin-brother. I'm sure many of you will be just as blown away as I am.
