Well, I repainted the body and threw on a new neck. RGD7 style body cut to RG7 specs. Strat head with maple fingerboard cut similar to RG7/UV specs. Lo Pro 7, Blaze Custom, and AN7. Body and neck built by Perle Guitars. Body painted by Chris Bavaria.

    I'm a horrible photographer.

    Thanks guys.

Lars, yes the Lo Pro is actually from a 1999 RG7620. It's in excellent condition - very surprising considering it's 18 years old. Both the neck and body were made by Perle, but are very close to IBZ specs.

    Awesome!
I just noticed now that it has a 5-way switch and both tone and volume knobs.
I would prefer that over the 3-way toggle and the volume knob only that the Ibby RGDs come with.
Your guitar is full of win! and that Strat headstock makes it even more classy :yesway:

I love the strat headstock. I have one on the white 7620 with the black pickguard in that last pic.

I have one more of these necks and I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. I have an old 7420 body and an Edge Pro 7...I'm thinking of doing a black on black with white pickups ala Gilmour.

honestly, if the real RGD2127s came with a LoPro instead of that mess of an Edge Zero, I'd probably own one by now

HNGD, looks really cool !

better than an RGD in all areas except the headstock, which looks all sorts of wrong on that body

I'm about to order an FR-7 sans the blade & tone controls.
Only drilling for the Volume, and I'll drill for the 3 way toggle myself, gonna put the EMG 57-7/66-7 set in.

Nice guitar. Adding a veneer to the headstock to hide multi-piece line would make it even better.

I noticed the MFC in your pic. What mods are done to the switches? They look more like g-system style switches.

Holy crap! That is fantastic! Enjoy that beauty.

Also, what is the story on the dark green RG next to the new RGD/Strat in the family photo? I think I like that one best out of your collection...
