The finish is available to order on all instruments except Armada, JPX through JP16 6/7 string, JP BFR 6/7 string, Game Changers, and StingRay 40th Anniversary. It's not clear if it will be available on the 7 string majesty or just the 6 string version. It was confirmed on the EBMM Forums thread that the Majesty will have a mahogany finished neck, so unfortunately no unfinished neck for the Majesty. No info on whether or not it has the carbon fiber shield still and if it has a finished head stock.

Damnit - this would be perfect on a JPX.

I think this is the first time they wont allow the PND to be used on any JP except the standard series. I wonder why? I get it for the BFR as the fancy tops arent used here. But why not for something like the JP13

would love to see a Majesty with this finish

Definitely the guitar I am most hyped for in this finish. I normally am not a fan of the carbon fiber maple but I think it would work very well with this finish. I would be even more excited to see a no carbon fiber maple majesty though.

actually I always liked the look of it. But with this color the black of the "shovel" would work pretty cool, plus a non marker fretboard would look awesome. In the Ernie Ball Forums they mention that due to this guitar being a neck trough the neck wood would remain mahogany and the neck would be painted with the body finish just like a normal majesty. So due to that Im assuming the headstock would be matched too. The hardware would be chrome

If I just had the money I would trow at it on a snap, I love blue and sparkles finishes, this finish is perfect!!, plus it makes the guitar a one of a kind. Love it!

please someone give me some money? :wavey:

That's a killer finish but it's ridiculous that it's not available on most of the JP's. Sometimes I feel like Sterling Ball makes dumb decisions. Why alienate a lot of your fan base by not offering this on the newer JP's other than the Majesty?

    Silence! I concur.

...I mean, what could possibly be the practical reason for such a decision? The JP line seems like one of their big time sellers, and some people go nuts over this limited edition stuff, so why not kill two birds with one stone here?

    Nice futurama reference.

    My initial thought.

Black hardware and body shape would have me rock hard.

    Noice.

    I'm fine as long as it's available on a basic JP6 :)

And on the other end of the spectrum - nice catch. There's a Futurama quote/reference for a surprising number of everyday situations.

As it was hinted on the ernie ball forum, I think colours options are not obvious and easy to manage, saleswise.
The boss said that he was having a hard time satisfying simultaneously the shops and the customers, colourwise.
So, I think if the shops said "we're not stocking other colours", there is no need producing them :)

but he whole point on the PDN runs is that you pre-order a guitar with the color option offered. So the only guitars built are the ones being pre-order, unless a store wants to take a bite and blind order more

unless you are referring to another tread?

I would see it more as a organising nightmare with all the little different details the JPX-to-16 have like fretboard radius, but all of them would look kinda the same with the PDN.

Sterling stated many times that the reason they stopped making "sparkles" is because nobody bought them.
They started by making one in Blue for Dweezil, then everybody wanted it, they produced many sparkles, yet nobody bought them.

They did/do a couple of runs some times but very very limited in numbers (well, nice way to charge a ....tonofmoney for a guitar)

Still, it's an awesome colour: looks like when You look at the sky and see the Milky Way (I guess that was their goal)

Would love to see a Majesty that way, with no mirror inlays....they're a little too much flashy

Doesn't EB pride themselves as a made to order company? AFAIK, they don't stock anything. That's why I found it weird with the color options they chopped late last year.

And the sparkles don't do much for me and with the CAD so low, I don't think I'd be buying a new EBMM for a long while :(

Meh buy guitar, send to Marty Bell, get back in a week with same finish and without all the hassle of ordering and waiting  The blank ebony board is cool, but still not worth the hassle of getting in on one of these runs.
