So Dean Zelinsky (yeah the ex-Dean ex-DBZ guitars guy) has jumped on the baritone train and....well I can't believe I'm saying this but some of the results are quite nice.

I kind of like these cause baritone guitars in the traditional strat/tele mould are pretty rare plus the company is run as a semi-custom type deal so there's various options for pickups/woods/finishes etc. https://deanzelinsky.com/guitars/baritone-guitars

So what is up with that Z-Glide neck stuff?? Anyone tried this or something similar with an opinion on it?
Sounds like a valid concept to me but what do I know, I've only got a masters in bro science...

Man the neck on that Tele looks fucking huuuuuuuge in the thumbnail.

Awesome shit, though. Need more 28''+ baritones.

D'oh, I'm an idiot. I didn't see the link at the end of the post, because I was distracted by the shiny things.

But, I will say I'm happy to see 28.5" as "baritone." Wasn't it PRS, or something, that made a 25.5" "baritone" model, because it was half an inch longer than their normal scale length? These things would be sweet for down tuning!

I owned 4 of Dean’s guitars before I had to sell them for financial reasons. The Z-Glide actually feels really nice on the hands. It does lend itself to faster playing and I don’t consider myself to be a fast player.
Funny thing is that Dean has a LP-style baritone prototype in his shop (no Z-Glide neck) and liked it so much that I wanted to buy it. It wasn’t for sale but I guess he figured that there is a market for baritones.

How "fast/slick" does it feel in comparison to a satin neck or natural wood?

To me, it’s not as slick as a satin neck, but since there is less wood due to the design, it is faster than a natural wood neck, in my opinion.

I may have to go try one of these, his shop is not too far from my house, I've been meaning to stop by this just gave me even more incentive. I've been really into baritones lately I'd honestly love a Danelectro 56 baritone lol
