its the first clip, called "Memories of Eclipse". its the same song as last time, but this time more of it. I tried a new guitarsound. (hmmm... should I try it with a tad more distortion to get it more "deathmetal-like"?)

this is just a rough mix, I barely did anything more than kill noise in silent parts and roughly adjust the volumes and its totally unmastered, too.

just wanted to see what you guys have to say about it and if you have any tips

converting to mp3 did SOMETHING pretty horrible, especially to the cymbals, that phasing sound wasnt there before the conversion (they sound normal in the .wav-version of the file). can someone tell me what happened here or how I can prevent that?

    recording-setup:
drums: programmed in GuitarPro5, played through Battery2
guitars: Ibanez RG7620 with Duncan Custom (bridge) for rythms and both PUs (the Custom + the moddified stock neck-PU) for lead. neck-coilsplit for cleans
    bass: yea..... whatever....:ugh:

yea, the playing could be somewhat tighter in some parts...

btw: how do you guys record clean and/or accoustic guitars? the clean part are 5 (!) guitar-tracks, but actually it didnt do much to enhance the sound. I changed the cab-sim for each of those tracks, one is panned center, 2 are 100% left/right and another 2 are 75% left/right
I try to get a somewhat "accoustic" clean sound. of course my electric wont ever REALLY sound like an accoustic, but what I want to achieve is something kinda like Opeth for example, you know kinda like "as accoustic as an electric may get" if you know what I mean

yea, cant think of anything else right now, go on and comment please!

Man the song it's very good!

I use the GP too, but the sound it's crap, you have to use another drum program. I use now DKFH, but i didn't have the keygen of FL studio (Emule version FTL )

can someone give me a tip on how to improve the sound on that clean-part for example?
what do you think about the guitar-sound?

btw: I forgott to mention what I used to record through: guitars are all Behringer VAmp Pro
