    Sup everyone,back with a NAD and it's my first tube amp just arrived today for the time being I'm running through a Presonus audio interface and some Presonus monitors (IR).Will be posting some pics some time in the future.Do any of yall know some settings or tips,right now I'm leaning towards the crunch channel for my 827 cause I can't seem to get into the Red channel on the count it's kinda fizzy even with the lead gain turned down

    Wait, are you plugging into the amp, and then using the VST after it gets into the computer?

    Don't use a vst overdrive. That would be like plugging a tube screamer between your amp and cab. And that is not ideal. :p

    So.....the boost would need to be before the preamp. The point of the boost is to basically become a pre-EQ bump that tightens the frequency response, and to drive the preamp tubes with more input gain.
    After the preamp and it becomes a notch filter and volume jump.

    What you could do is:

    Guitar -> interface- > TS sim -> reamping box -> 6505

    Works pretty good.

    This is probably the best option if you don't have a cab.

    Otherwise I'd get a real boost and but it before the amp.

    Dude thank you for pointing that out I'm so use to using vst plugins especially that 808 sim but I'm using a REAL amp now.That explains the weird sound I was getting.

    A 112 plus the fact that you can reduse the amps wattage to 5 (or is it 1?) Watt would be just fine! If sound levels are reasonable and it's daytime they should all just stfu. :p

    It is selectable: 20/5/1. 5w is great for bedroom playing and if that is not soft enough you can go down to 1w which is definitely bedroom amp levels.

    Happy NAD! I love mine as well and haven't had any problems getting awesome tones at TV volume through a 112.

    Hope you enjoy!
