Here is my little rig rundown, tried to build a super compact rig and easy to carry around. Thanks to Seymour Duncan powerstage 170 which made a pedalboard level rig happen and can go with any cabs.

    Check it out!

Thumbs up from another Ontarian here. I am really tempted to get myself a PowerStage and a Diezel VH4 preamp pedal and see where that will get me tonewise.

Thanks bnzboy! I thought about the Diezel VH4 as well, haven't tried one myself yet. i heard it is sick. The powerstage works suprisingly well with pedals and i am happy with this rig

Might as well keep the Ontario train going.

Sleek setup, I've been thinking about putting together something similar as a travel rig!

I was wondering about how using a pedal like the MXR (I have one myself) direct into a power amp would work. Good to hear that it works well with the SD 170.

it works pretty in my application, I play mostly hi gain stuff, one thing need to take note would be to cracking the 5150 drive input a bit higher.:)

How loud does the 170 get?
Like is it properly gig'able?. Especially against a loud band?

I want one so bad for my pedalboard setup too but only if its loud enough.

Also I just picked up the G10 relay myself. I love the thing!.

i use it in my band practice a lot, my drummer can hear it..he is kinda loud to me:). if volume/power is your concern, there is a powerstage 700 like rack version supposed to be louder and it is a lot bigger though.

P.S. G10 is adorable.does the job and easy to use as well.

Yeah, I agree..the 170 is plenty loud to be heard over a drummer.
