Best demos so far.
That product name’s way more creative than “pussy melter.”
tbf, with a lunchbox amp, a 2x12 and this, you are sorted. Great compact setup
I have been curious about this because it looks pretty cool. I think it sounds good for high gain in those videos.
They designed the gain section like a preamp. I heard it sounds like Dimebag when played in person. It's probably FETs like an old Randall.
This is interesting, kindve like a super affordable version of the ISP Theta Pro
I’m digging this a lot.
Can’t find where to buy it though
price tag anywhere?
No link to actually check it out? Is it like a sansamp flyrig?
Looks like $269 at pre order.
Im sold on this pedal. High gain section looks like an amptweaker tightmetal copy.
Can choose whether or not to bypass the effects loop on each preset?
I really wish Ola would show the cab sim a bit more for products like this. It's always just a couple seconds. No one would buy this to use it with a 5150 I guess
Why wouldn’t they?
Because a 5150 is already the perfect high gain sound. Why would want to you use some amp sim through its clean channel instead like Ola in his video?
I mean if someone has the Black Truck lying around already and needs a delay in the effects loop of their 5150, then they could use it. But I can't imagine that's what people buy it for.
Well if you can choose to bypass the blacktruck’s effects loop on each preset, you can nest the 6505’s preamp in the effects loop of the blacktruck using the 4 cable method. This means you get:
- a better clean channel (using the black truck straight to poweramp)
- zero tap dancing because now you have presets
- Ok, personally I like the clean channel of the 5150 in Ola's demo
- What presets? I don't get it.
Well the blacktruck allows you to have presets. Basically on one preset i could:
-bypass the 5150’s preamp to get a clean channel with compressor, reverb, EQ, and delay
Then with ONE CLICK go to preset 2 which:
-puts the 5150 preamp back into the signal chain, giving me my high gain tone
- turns on my OD and Gate
-turns off the reverb, delay, EQ, and compressor
You get where I’m going with this? Are you familiar with loop switchers?
But again, this is only possible IF you can choose whether or not you bypass the “effects loop” of the blacktruck on each preset
That one feature makes or breaks the blacktruck (for my purposes at least)
Yep thanks, I get it now.
For me the Black Truck would be interesting to plug directly into an audio interface or mixing desk which is not really shown in Ola's demo. But I now get that people might have uses for it that I hadn't thought of before.
Mooer's release cadence staggers me. Their design teams must just be working around the clock. Ge200, black truck, ge300... All within (hopefully) a year!
Your Welcome here guys!
