    Hey Guys,

I've been a member for several months and hadn't taken the time to introduce myself. I'm the lead guitarist for Fozzy, the metal band featuring members of Stuck Mojo (Rich Ward) and WWE's Chris Jericho.

I've toured all over the place with Mojo an Fozzy for the last couple of years and recorded Rich Ward's solo CD - The Duke "My Kung Fu is Good" released on Spitfire/Eagle Rock 2005.

I have been a Jemfest.com performer for the last several years and have released my first instrumental guitar CD "2 of 5" this year. It's available through my website and iTunes.
    Here's the track listing:
    1. 2 of 5
    2. Salute
    3. Lavender
    4. Living the Good Life
    5. Prelude
    6. Epiphany
    7. The Trouser Trout
    8. Infection
    9. Peace Be With You

There are free samples to download on my MySpace page. The track "Salute" is a seven string tune that I think you will enjoy. I'm working on updating my main page now so in the meantime I've posted some videos on my MySpace page as well.

I use Ernie Ball / Music Man JPM 6 & 7 string guitars, Peavey JSX amps and cabs, DiMarzio pickups, cables and straps, The Tremol-No and Dean Markley Blue Steel strings.

If you've got any questions or feedback for me I'd love to hear from you. I look forward to catching up on this forum. There's a lot of great stuff on here.

No fucking shit?? Dude, I love Fozzy!! Sucks you guys couldn't use the full original name. Sharon's a bitch.

Were you on all 3 albums? While I love the covers, All That Remains is my favorite. Good shit on that album. What kinda tunings were on that? And is Fozzy still playing?

Thanks guys, It's great to meet you!

Funny enough, Fozzy's last CD was titled "All that Remains" before they hired me! I'm not the guy from the band by that name. There was some confusion when the band first announced that they'd be hiring me!

Fozzy is still kicking it. I'm doing some writing now for what we hope will be the next Fozzy release in the next year. I was hired by the band after they recorded their last record to go on tour as a full member. With this album, we've moved on to all origional material. Rich Ward writes some bad ass grooves.

I did record Rich's solo CD for The Duke "My Kung Fu is Good" which we released on Spitfire last year. All things are waiting for Rich to release the new Stuck Mojo record he's been working on.
    There are some samples here:

I hope that answers some stuff for you. It's great to meet you guys and I look forward to chatting more in the future!

Mike and I have been friends for a long time; since Eric Sands first introduced us....wow...ages ago. He's a big fan of the 7's, so he'll fit right in here. :)
And, if you guys want some kickass tunes, check out "2 of 5". Some CRAZY playing on there. It's a great drive-to CD.

Hey Mike- here are some notes to smooth your entry into SS.org:
    - Drew has a pink polo shirt....and wears it with pride. Yes. I said "Pride". :)
    - Regor beat cancer like it was married to Tawny Kitaen.
    - Popsyche was the guy in the hotel room with us at JF2006 during "Sympathy For The IHOP". He was doing b/g vocals over by the A/C unit.
    - Shannon is a guy.
    - You will see many things "deemed true" or "deemed metal". Accept them. Move on. :D
    - Picstories RULE!

You'll have a good time here. I promise.
    I do. :)

Rich Ward uses two different tunings for his six string set up:
    C G C F A D low to high
    &
    Bb f Bb F A D low to high

I started out using both of these tunings, but one of the song on the new Fozzy record has Zakk Wylde guest soloing on it and I have to play it live!
Zakk used whatever tuning he wanted to to track the solo, but Rich recorded all of the other guitar parts in the Bb tuning. I'm no slouch, but that tuning was awkward for soloing. Especially if guys are going to compare you to Zakk Wylde's solo!

So, being a seven string guy from years back (my other seven string is an Ibanez UV7 from 1997-or98, I don't remember but I bought it new in 1998), I ordered a JPM 7 from Ernie Ball and I just tune it down a half step and Voila! All the notes are where I thought they should be!

How cool. Jericho is probably my 3rd favorite wrestler evvvvverrrrr (inside joke. Y2J fans will get). Of course, he's not really with WWE anymore. In fact, I hear he's entertaining TNA offers. :hbang:

I'm also a huge Fozzy fan, and have pretty much all your band's material. Chris, you'll probably like 'em. They sound a bit like Queensryche. Fucking awesome. 'Enemy' and 'To Kill A Stranger' are some seriously bad-ass songs. I was loving how at TNA's 'Bound For Glory' in Detroit, which I attended, played the video to 'Enemy' before the show.

Fucking sweet gig, Mike! Chris and Rich are two real cool dudes.

    Welcome aboard. :wavey:

Welcome Mike. EBMM JP7s are superb guitars. How's that JSX treating you? I've owned a 5150 and an Ultra Plus (XXX), but I haven't had the chance to try the JSX yet.
