Bears. In English, they are oftentimes referred to as "Panda bears." (I know that in Chinese and Japanese, raccoons are referred to as bears, 洗熊, but scientifically speaking, they are not actually bears. They are in a family that some people refer to as being like "small bears", but raccoons and pandas/other bears are in different families. The name of the family raccoons are in means "pre-dog"). Pandas are too big to be raccoons. Raccoons are black and white (or brown and white), while pandas are just white and black with different designs. Pandas have a short bear tail, while raccoons have a long dog-like tail. Pandas eat bamboo and other vegetation, while raccoons eat anything (they are omnivorous).

In short, there is not one thing similar between pandas and raccoons except that they are both mammals.

I thought raccoons were related to marsupials.

Either way, I am glad Raccoon City doesn't really exist... or it would have been REALLY scary

Raccoons can easily kill dogs, even big ones. They bite the throat.

I disagree...scientifically it has been proven that both pandas and raccoons are fuzzy AND wuzzy. So thats two more things they have in common.:yesway:
