for Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery... i'm on the waiting list for the february class, but i'm #7 in line... i doubt 7 people will drop for me to get in that class, but thats ok, i'm going to be going to the august class... gives me plenty of time to try and get as many grants as possible... i also got a buddy in phoenix who is gonna let me stay with him for the 5 month course, which will kick total arse, he's a guitar player as well as a drummer, we'll be able to jam a lot... we're gonna be looking into open mic nights in the phoenix area too...

It is a good school. Luthiers and all kinds of wood-workers love Phoenix because there's rarely any humidity here, outside of late july and august (monsoon season).

As for the open mic nights, 1st off, you're gonna be dissapointed by Phoenix's night life. It sucks. The only open mics I know about... for rock music, are Chasers in Tempe on Monday nights, and Joe's Grotto in north Phoenix on wednesday nights.

Elysian, msg me when you get to town, we'll have to hook up sometime. Since you'll be in town, you have an open invite to come to one of my shows, I'll be playing out again locally starting in February.
