Mine would definitely have P90s, but I could live without the other bits. (Who would you even get to produce a 7-string JM trem?)

Probably nobody  I know there are other 7 string vintage style trems, not the biggest deal.

I was really surprised by how much I liked the rhythm/lead circuit functionality when I played with one for a while at a Guitar Center. With what I do I could see using it a lot.

This is a guitar I would have thought I would have zero interest in, but I am completely wrong. More info? It looks awesome!

EDIT: Nevermind, Google image search did the work. I'm impressed Tom! Might have to follow up on this one.

Hey guys!! I have been spending some time building a more accurate estimating program and have found some things that I could change in order to bring my prices down a little bit. What I found was that I can reliably produce my JazzMonster 7 or 8 for for around $1350 with the basic specs of-

    Alder body
    Maple neck
    Maple or rosewood board
    Lace Alumitone pickups
    Hipshot everything
    Satin or matte finish

Keep in mind that the alder is basically paint grade with some tiny knots here and there. I find wood like that to be very charming but if you dont share my opinion on that we can upgrade to swamp ash or black limba for a very reasonable price.

    Available options are:

Black limba body or neck (or both)
    Swamp ash body
    Mahogany body or neck
    Fir body
Flame maple, Birdseye or roasted maple necks and fret boards
    Mac or black ebony
    Rosewood or Mac ebony necks
    Stainless steel frets
    Luminlay side and face dots
Flame or quilt maple drop tops
    Mac ebony tops
    Poplar burl tops
    BKP pickups
    Instrumental Pickups
    Hard case

Man, just when I think I'm out, they pull me back in! I totally don't need another 8 (not like I need a 10, ifyouknowwhatimean), but that is a pretty sweet spec list for the price! So are you saying a paint grade alder body that is painted? Because if that's the case I couldn't care less about the knots and stuff, since they won't be visible. And then I could get a crazy color with a maple board and tell my wife that I need one because I don't have "a pink jazz master 8 string" yet.

After you sell your wife on that, do you mind trying to convince my mine?

We need to publish a book on how to sweet talk significant others into letting us all buy more gear!

When I figure it out, I'll gladly take part in sharing the knowledge. I have tried some very desperate attempts though.

Tom, does the base JM come with a painted body, or just oiled alder?

Tom, please stay in business for many years, because when I'm adulting, and not paying for college, I will throw my money at you.

Also, your projects and ideas are killer. That is all.
