    Hi there!
First, hello everyone again, i'm new here on the site.

I bought a second 8 string guitar a few days ago which I'm still waiting to receive it at home (had a LTD H338 last year but due to medical problems I almost had to sell everything...). This new one, it's a Jackson JS32 8 Dinky. I know it's not a GREAT guitar; i just bought it for home recording and house playing/practice purposes. I actually reduced my rig to my macbook pro, a BOSS ME25 effects processor, basic monitors and headphones. I also use an Standard Squier Telecaster with Fender pickups in standard tuning for daily use and play/ record clean/basic things, using also a UX1 Tone Port from Line 6.

There's a chance to buy a new amp and/or upgrade this guitar if I comeback to the stage. Does somebody has use this guitar for home recording? What DAW/software/equip had you been using? Which upgrades do you recommend for this guitar? Thanks to everyone who can help me.!!!

thanks @"odibrom" ... i actually don't know much about those Lace caps, and youtube videos are not a good guide for me (many videos have their sound mixed, produced and even the badest equipment sounds like a fractal, for example).

I play a lot of metal, but my sound is based on Deftones ..in an old RG7421 I had the PAF PRO neck/bridge combination, and my old LTD H338 had EMG active pickups, but never convinced me. Any other suggestions?

    thanks!
