Hoping someone can give me some info on this. I'm looking at purchasing a second hand Ibanez RG1520G which has midi output and is described as having "Roland GK-compatible" support. Does this mean I need to plug the guitar into the Roland GK? Can it not go directly into something like Logic if I have an interface with midi-in? Or even a midi-to-usb conversion of some kind?

It’s just a built in GK-style divided pickup that delivers a split, analog signal.

Thanks. So from what I can see, the 13-pin MIDI out on the guitar should be able to plug in to any midi interface, right? Or even a midi-to-usb converter?

Ideally I want to plug the midi out (from the guitar) straight into Logic X (either via interface or midi-to-usb cable)
