Absolutely, it's the add on work that eats all the profits out of these cheaper lines, but they have to be done if you care about the instrument.

Yeah it sucks but we just do it anyways because I refuse to send out a guitar that has a shitty setup. I know you're awesome at that too, but so few places give a crap. Especially mail-order ones.

That's why I pretty much given up my Indo experiment. I don't have a tech on the clock and they just eat too much time. Add in all the extra water content in the necks and the beta at which they shrink, let's just say, you know winter is no fun time to have to work on an Indo.

Sweetwater puts on a good act at pretending to give a crap, but I've heard too many stories to buy in.

In other news, these RGD7UC's are freakin awesome! Although, I can't play a blank board worth a dang, I'm always overshooting the mark!

If I'm not mistaken, I remember pictures you had posted from NAMM revealing a bit of slop/tooling marks on the fretboard around the fret ends on the RGD7UC, as well as the FR. Is that something you're finding on the ones in your inventory? I hope not, because I had been planning on getting one of each.

Not even tiny ones. I'd have to dig out the FR to check if you wanted me to, but there was nothing unacceptable about it as it's in inventory ;)

Fair point, and good to hear. I'm clicking there now to check your pictures out, mostly to drool for the time being.

Always wondered if there were any issues using PW or Gotoh locking tuners with various Ibanez guitars. I'd love to get a set, but could never find a definitive answer. In particular, my rga121h and just having drop in replacements.

^That DCM looks killer. But I wonder, is that a prototype? I know Dino loves his necks painted, plus the logo on the pickup doesn't look like the logo that's going to be on his 'Retribution" pickup.

I hope it does well so Dino can get the Meshuggah treatment and have both Prestige and affordable versions.

Great shots man, can't wait to see more.

Crap, hit the unsubscribe link. Where is the "subscribe" link again??

It should be correct except for the pickup logo, which should say Dino on the side if I heard it right.

Dino RGD looks pretty boss. Is that hardware the Violet Chrome finish? Looks unusual, but I'm not sure if it's just the body's finish in the reflection...

    Subscriptions on, yea!

Dino says everything is correct except the pickup logo is the standard S - SD logo. I didn't think the one telling me about the "Dino" logo at HUSA was very sure what he was talking about. And all the backplates will be signed. Hardware is regular cosmo.

Is Dino even using 7s instead of 8s for any of his new material?

On the last album there were 8 string songs -the rest was played on a 7.
And IIRC live the last.... 2years? He just used 7 string guitars

Sure, but when is that uncommon?! ;)

Still waiting on JBM100's, APEX200, and the JC2014's. Although the JC's are in but the cases aren't. I picked up a RG6U last week because I had a timed delivery deadline, he was going to take it in one of my 2013 cases, sent him pictures of the guitar and he forgot to tell me a leak blew in his bathroom and had a $10k contractors bill and wasn't going to make the trip, or of course buy the guitar. :ugh:
