i just listened to "Absent" on bulb's soundclick, and i love that song.
i think i might actually like it more than bulb's metal stuff.

but maybe that's just because i've been depressed lately, and my love for ambient electronica has attached itself to that mood.

but seriously, go listen to bulb's electronica. now.

bulb, what do you use for it?

    sure!

i'm very familiar with psychadelic/ambient music as it is.
i might be the only person on the boards who likes electronica more than metal.

Yeah, it's pretty good! I actually enjoy it, and when I'm playing his whole Soundclick, it offers a nice break from teh metulz.

If you guys are really into this stuff, maybe you could toss a few band names out there. A few times over the last year or two, I've tried looking for good electronica, but I was pretty unsuccessful. I like electronica, but I'm very picky about it.

aww thanks d00d, absent was a collab with jake b, we really have awesome writing chemistry in just about all the styles we write, so its great to finally find someone i can write effortlessly with!

I use reason 3.0 for all the synth stuff and then i usually export the wav to nuendo to add guitars if im doing that.

Same here man, i actually know nothing about electronic music, a question i get a lot and can never answer is what kind of electronic music i make, so i would definitely love to check out any reccomendations of music in that vein!

Fruity is easier, but more limited for sure. I used to use FL heaps. But after hearing bulbs electro shit and asking about it ages ago, i thought i'd give reason 3 a go, and it really is awsome. Especially with as he said, Nuendo if you wanna spice it up even more. Cool for for industrial music too :metal:

No demo of XXL 7? :( Well actually, IIRC, 7 is pretty much just a tweaked and updated version of 6, so it'd probably feel about the same to ya until you really got into it.
