How are they compared to Mesa , Marshall, Orange, etc... in terms of quality?

Thinking of scooping one up used because they’re so cheap

If it is loaded with anything Sheffield I'd replace the speakers immediately for about 70% improvement.

I had peavey 2x12 that i got with my jsx, it had that ugly oval peavey logo and had blue marvels. I thought the cab sounded like garbage personally, thin, weak and farty lol. Also didnt like the jsx.

If it's a newer one, you can get them loaded with either V30's or Greenbacks. Lot of bang for the buck.

I saw one of these at GC the other day, have not been doing alot of gear whoring lately so was kinda caught off guard. I didn't try it out, but it looked great, like a quality product and very clean - with V30's i'm sure it would sound great (or greenbacks, if that's your thing)

Used avatar is a solid bargain, but a Marshall 1960 4x12" is usually easy to find cheap too. Longest piece of gear I had was one I bought in 1998 for $300 used, sold it many tours later in 2013 for $350.
As far as Peavey cabs, when I had a full stack with a 6505, I kept it on the bottom for volume only. Pissed off many sound dudes when I'd move the mic to my Marshall instead of where they placed it. They sound okay with a Peavey head, but are zero competition for a good Marshall or Orange, Avatar can outpace them with ease.

Peavey Invective cabinet is top shelf gear. As good as the others. But they also make cheap ones out of manufactured wood.
