    Hello :)
So i got this wood from a long time but i dont know what kind of it could be.. maybe someone of you can help me..
Its quite dense as you can see.. lets say a little more than mahogany imo..
Consider that the photos are yellowish due to the light..

    Thanks again :)

My sepele mahogany was a lot dark-red'er than that and smoother surfaced.
I would definitely say mahogany though.
If its really dense and solid/heavy then I would definitely put my money on that.

can you rub some naptha or mineral spirits on it and take a photo? from the dry pics it looks a lot like the wenge i got from india. its not like the dark chocolate wenge you get normally but looks more like a mahogany or sapele.

I've seen tzalam look exactly like that. But the lightning doesn't help much.

edit: cut or sand a bit of it, and tell us what it smells like, haha.

Yeah. It has those pores that you get with wenge or zebrano. I have seen some very light wenge before. Lighter than what's pictured.

Looks a lot like tasmanian blackwood to me, but over that side of the world I doubt it.

I'm willing to bet it's a family member though

Another thing to consider when trying to identify wood is that in some species, the heartwood can differ greatly from the sapwood even within the same tree.
I'm going to go with a white wenge on this one as mentioned before. The tight variations in the grain resemble wenge a lot. As well as the pores in the close up pictures.
Is it oily? Does it splinter like a bitch?

Also, we're missing the bigger question here...
What are you planning to make out of this mystery stick?

    Yo guys
Yeah i also thought it has mahogany's grain and wenge's pores.
    Its density is approximately 720Kg\M³.
Here are some pics of it wet.
