Guitar is my main instrument, but I do a lot of soundtrack-yish stuff...Hell, I've mixed metal stuff only a couple of times, need to work on that! Tell me what you think, any feedback is appreciated and be sure to leave a link to your stuff if you have some!

Heh....was just listening to this earlier from a link on VI-Control....

This is good stuff man.....sounds huge and I dig it. What did you use for the choral vocals?

Thanks man! Funny, lately I've run into lots of VI-control members on different forums. Not sure what you are meaning by choral vocals...there aren't any in the song. For choirs in my other songs I use Olympus elements by Soundiron. And while we are discussing about this, in the song I used Strezov Sampling Cornucopia II for strings, GGD for drums and NI Monark for all the synths.

Showing my ignorance...just started with all this stuff, just joined VI the other day. What is it that starts at 1:11? Is that Cornucopia?

Thanks for the rig rundown, BTW.

Haha, we all start from somewhere! ;) And yes, at 1:11 there's two instances of Cornucopia playing the same note, only on different octaves. They are quite heavily distorted+I applied some pitch bend, so they don't exactly sound like chamber strings! On the background there's two instances of lead guitar with heavy reverb (Thanks Periphery!), distorted piano (NI The Giant) and beneath all of this is a synth patch playing some low notes.

So sick. The texture of the whole thing was really enjoyable man. Thanks for the explanation!
