This is probably the wrong forum for this, but just in case...

I'm selling a guitar and I've been offered a trade of a '72 Orange GRO100 head. Some of these were built by Matamp, just trying to corroborate a few details to see if the one offered to me is of Matamp origin. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of these heads with a bass guitar & bass cab? I've heard they're very loud, so a 100W rating at clean guitar volume maybe? Pretty hefty looking transformers leads me to thinking it'd translate to bass pretty well, depending on how the EQ is tuned.

There doesn't seem to be any videos of them on YouTube either.

Here's a picture of what they look like, I hadn't heard of them until the offer.

Old oranges are always worth it IMO. If you don't have any use for it, just start some stoner band.

    What guitar are you trading?

    Great.

OP, that ....'s older than my dad. Such a piece of history would be blasphemous not to get.

Or you can always start a Stoner band.

Trade it man, Vintage oranges are pretty sought after, even if you have no use for it and it's good condition you could flip it for more than you would get foor that gibson

If you're in doubt, trade it and start a stoner band. Just in case no one has mentioned it. Ok?

This might help or might not.

No desires to start any new bands. For what it's worth, I play bass in Hark and guitar in Intensive Square.

Still debating the trade, if the Orange would make an worthy bass head then I'd probably be more up for it. No option of trying it out though.
