Just upgraded to Komplete 10 from Komplete 5 this weekend. Still adjusting to the differences in Guitar Rig 5 (ie. no banks, weird preset browser, have to use the standalone program for importing my Guitar Rig 3 banks) etc. I love the new darker color themes though for GR5 and Battery 4, though I've been reading all the angry posts about all the great features that were removed and it's got me worried.

Anywho, I'll try to get up a sound sample as well this weekend if possible. I'm curious also to try Rammfire.

Yeah some of the new features are a bit weird, give me a shout when you get a sample up though! I'd love to hear what everyone else is doing

Will post a link right in this thread. Being I just built my new machine and installed the new software I should probably give it a test. So yeah, hoping to get a clip of some form posted this weekend.

I was messing with making a small sample yesterday, but I wasn't too happy with it so I didn't render it. I'll say this, I've tried both The Gratifier and the Rammfire one's, both based off the Mesa Dual Rec, and the Rammfire is much closer to the real amp - though still not the same of course. You can hear it in the low end response, it's fairly absent on the Gratifier but it's there in the Rammfire. But, both are still too darn fizzy/crunchy. I still think my POD HD beats them. I used my POD HD for the track in my sig and also the other track on my SoundCloud "This Is The World We Live In". I have a Triple Rec and while the POD HD isn't dead on either it's the closest I've got and I'm very happy with the preset I made. In the songs I've posted the treble needs better tweaking, done using a VST plugin, not the POD. I'll need to correct that at some point, but overall it's still my go to "plugin and go" for scratch recording and song writing.

Granted I haven't messed with GR5 extensively yet, I haven't loaded IR's or really tweaked out EQ's and tried cab combinations, mic combinations, etc so I'm sure there's a lot more under the hood and an extensive tweak can likely yield a killer patch. Even for my POD I had to use dual amps with different mics on each cab and blended to liking. If I do get something up it will be today.
