If you have been jonesing for one of those 'to good to be true' priced Chinese guitars, you will find a shocking lack of credible reviews.

I bought one and here is my review.

River Heights Music Winnipeg, Manitoba: Grote Guitars Review 7 string arch top

Hopefully external links are allowed as it contains a lot of text and pictures

I bought this one. It's an ok guitar but nothing world shocking. Looks great next to my TV set.

So it is not as good as your other $200 7 string arch tops?

See, that's the crux of it. There are hardly any 7 string semis out there and the few there are start $1,000.

As I have owned, played and adjusted it over the last few months it is getting better and better and totally worth more than the 2 bills I paid for it

Should I say it's an amazing guitar when I don't think it is? Yeah, I didn't think so either :)
Mine had a couple of little dents in it, frets could've used a better finishing and the binding doesn't have an even width at a certain part on the neck. So I think "OK guitar" is a valid conclusion of what came out of the box, even for that price.

When not playing it, it literally stands next to my tv and literally looks great. Literally.

Do you always take it this personal when someone disagrees with you? Keep up the good work :yesway:

saying I am doesn't make it so but it does show your desperation.

Honest question...did you even read the review or did you just see the picture and post?

I don't think you know what desperation means :squint:
I did in fact read the review even before I bought it. That doesn't mean I have to agree with it or withhold me from giving my opinion of this guitar on a public forum now, does it? You were quick enough to act condescending after I gave my opinion about this purchase. You and your attitude would've been an interesting study for Dunning and Kruger. Take care :wavey:
