    You'd think they'd at least photoshop it. It really is almost as if they just don't care anymore. Its a shame, as I do genuinely like their guitars.

    Could be buffing compound, but still shouldn't be in any sort of promo picture.

    I don't think it's a buffing compound :lol: if you zoom in close enough you definitely see lots of hairline cracks

    Eh, I see stuff like this everyday where I work which is why I mentioned it as a possibility. This isn't the hill I'm dying on though, so carry on.

    Hmm, this kind of thing happening twice in a short time makes me think this gibson downhill thing is intended... Much like Microsoft invading and destroying Nokia.

    Wow :/

    I remember working at a certain guitar factory, I noticed a crack on a higher end guitar and brought it up to a manager, they said "good catch!" and then told me they didn't hire me to do QC.
