    Tamandua

Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: Skervesen Tamandua 6

Found her locally so couldn't resist picking her up. Absolutely mint, can't find a scratch on her. I've just bought a Shoggie recently (from @FAiRLiGHT) and I can't justify keeping both or the wife will have my knackers in a vice. Immense wood choices here, single piece black limbs body, ziricote board, poplar burl inlayed pick guard, maple/wenge/ovangkol neck. BKP aftermath and (I think) VHII in the neck but I can't be sure. The seller had forgotten. These are out of production now I think.

Brief & Accurate Description of gear/guitar: Jackson Pro Dinky DK2M MIJ 2007

Bought this poor little thing pretty battered from eBay last year. Stripped down the paint and put a burled ash veneer on the front. Stained red burst and Tru Oil finish. I call it Volcano burst haha  The back is stained black but a little 'weatherbeaten' here and there, it's the best I could do with the alder body. Still very presentable, and under the indoor lights looks quite good. The outdoor photos show her in true detail. The front is lovely, and obviously unique. There is a little crack on the 6th string tuner screw (pictured) where someone had forced a larger replacement screw in. That is now repaired and sealed. There is also a lentil-sized ding in the thumb side of the neck (pictured). Genuine Floyd Rose installed, Seymour JB and SH2 set. Fresh graphite paint in the cavity and a fresh wiring job. Not the slickest, but very tidy and heat-shrinked properly. All original Japanese parts, screws, etc. Apart from two neck screws I had to replace. Lots of fun to play, dive bombs and pulls on the Floyd and stays in tune. Sounds great. Also a Shadow Kill-Pot on the volume.

It's basically like those dogs you see on the TV that have been abandoned and beaten up by their cruel owners, then rescued and nursed back to health  Consider this an RSPCA job. Or RSPCG if you will.

Modifications (if any): Refinished, Kill-Pot, Seymours, Genuine Floyd.
Accessories (hardshell case etc): Gator, one buckle knackered.
