Snagged this Floral Tele body via alcohol and ebay
Anyways I had a bit of time to spare today so I started a neck. Its an odd time of year for me to start a build but this one should be easy :)
Got a couple of Rhoads ready soon and a restored Jem Desert Yellow.

Good way to give life to ebay finds! Are you leaving the body 'as is'? Have you thought about changing the burst color?

    More one handed fretting today.
Head stock has dyed blue veneer and 2 K. Inlays are neon blue tint acrylic rod with blue metalic reflector underneath.

Damn, those prices for Tele bodies are insane, Live! We can barely get the raw lumber in the UK for that price.

Is that a lacewood ferret, Pondman? Looks gorgeous.

I had 2K questions for you this week so your timing is perfect. With our shitty humid and cold weather in the UK right now, what would your method be for spraying 2K? The Americans often talk about keeping humidity below 50% for better curing and to avoid bloom, so are you having to do it indoors with a dehumidifier? Also, in terms of drying, are you hanging it indoors? If you could please do me a step by step, that'd be amazing. I am reluctant to crack a £25 can of Spray Max until I've got my procedure down as I know it goes off pretty quickly.

Reckon I can finish a headstock and an RG body on one can, too?

Thanks for sharing, as always, and hope you're back to two hands again soon enough.

It hadn't rained for about 3 days and had been windy + the day I did it was nice and sunny so that's roughly the kind of window your looking for. I always spray 2K outside, dont do it indoors if you dont have an air fed mask, full cover all, rubber disposable gloves with your sleeves taped over the gloves, eye protection (it can enter your body through the eyes) and cover your face any way you can. I've found this mask on ebay which is tested for 2K https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gerson-2...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I've had no shitty after effects using this one but just be carefull, 2k is absolutely lethal if not treated with respect.
Spraymax 2K is probably one of the best sprays I've used that doesn't seem to pick up moisture on a good day as long as you use thin coats. If you do see any bloom immediately put your sprayed work in front of a heater or under a heat lamp and it should disperse as long as you haven't sprayed it too thick. Nitro is the worst for picking up moisture even on a good day.
Make sure you leave the 2k in a heated room a few hours before you use it to give a finer stronger spray with no splutter.

Yeah, we've got guitarfetish and rondo music. Great ways to get inexpensive guitar stuff.

Thanks for that detailed post, Pondman (also acknowledging the other thread with the warmed cans warning!)
