    Trivalent - A Universe

Hey guys, just wanted to uh... shamelessly plug my album.

I've kind of been working on this for 3 years or so now... it wasn't until relatively recently that I could muster recordings of appreciable quality. The album is a concept album chronicling the life of a universe.

All guitar sounds created running a Schecter Omen 8 direct in through a Line 6 UX2 and processed in Amplitube 3. Drums are SD 2.0.

It's got 8 strings, but no djent. Some cornet parts, if that's your thing. All instrumental. There may or may not be a recording of Carl Sagan used within.

Listening to this now, sounds amazing! Also, does it prove that I'm some kind of nerd if I get all that's going on on the cover?

    EDIT: AND... the Asimov reference.

    Thanks for listening!

 Yes, I suppose it does, but not any more than the guy who used it as an album cover...

Wow, I'm impressed. This might sound bad, but I found myself actually wanting to continue listening...and not making myself listen. So far I like Inflation a lot.

    Yay nerds! Yay nerd-rock!

Lollers @ "...King Crimson...Debussy..." But also in a "...said the guy who listens to both" kind of way.

    Go you AugmentedFourth.

Eventually when I have the space (and cash) between my studies I want to put together a couple albums I've been working on, so congratulations you are in the pantheon of inspiration for me.

I will listen to it when I get home however and post something a little more constructive.

    Cheers :)

Very cool concept and I'm really enjoying the music (currently on Galaxy Formation). I really, really like the writing style in this, especially the interplay between the technical parts and the more ambient/synth parts. Many awesomes, much thumbs up.

This is great, good work! Nice to hear some 8 string work that's a bit different. Some really smart composition :)

Holy crap! Fecking Bahamas reviewed my album on their Release-o-meter! I'm super stoked... they are like the only music/review kind of site I visit with any regularity. :yesway:

Excellent work. Creative, inspired, and fresh.

I'm not informed enough on the subject of physics to fully appreciate the conceptual details of this album, but it's good music nonetheless. Thanks for posting :)

It's a gravitational system. It could be a moon/planet, planet/sun, star/star, etc. Each quadrant just shows an archetypal illustration of one of the four fundamental forces (weak, electromagnetic, strong, gravitational).

And thanks for the kind words! :D
