Hey guys, I'm getting a Roamer 8 in the run that Kevin Fast just started. I figured I'd start a build thread.

It's going to be a swamp ash body, quilted maple top, white bobbin pickups, birdseye FB, and white binding all over. And hot pink. The question is, do I do a single color top, or do a natural to pink burst? I'm leaning in the natural to pink burst, but with a hotter version of the pink shown here.

Originally I was thinking of just a solid version of this:

So, what do you guys think? All pink, or natural to pink? (In either case, I'm using the hot pink, like in the Carvin picture.)

Another vote for solid pink as well. I'm doing a similar build with a pink quilt top and roasted BE board. I think it's a great combo.

Solid pink. The burst will prob look dumb.

I'm gonna say pink burst because I have a soft spot for those old Dean V's with the solid pink burst.

Great idea, I have massive pink guitar GAS, you are not helping! The brighter the pink, the better...but, depending on the wood choice, I also think a pink fade might look better than a burst :)

Solid pink IMO...or a pink to red at the very edge? Any way you go it’ll be sick!

Actually, that might be cool. I don't want it to look bursty, because it will take away from the pinkness, but a subtle shade gradient could be cool!
