Will do, thanks. Didnt mean to sidetrack the thread.

Will the MIK idea serve to reduce prices or to decrease build times or offer more options? Or any of those? lol.

Hey Jim, thx we got your email.

The China production line is intended to both reduce price and build time, by having various models made with standard features in volume by a larger factory, our partner in China.

The models we have samples for are the Tomahawk (including a multiscale version), Katana, and the MIG Headless ergonomic (both standard and multiscale versions). We have also just called for a sample of an exotic top MIG headless.

There will be a short list of options for all these MIC models, but the intention is to have the most popular features available at a great price and short wait time.

I think those ergo guitar are cool, but one thing I don't like about the design is the same issue I have with the Kiesel Kiesel builds. On the upper horn the colored part gets narrower and narrower, and then suddenly gets wider again. It just looks off too me. I think it would look better if the top bevel carried along further, almost to the tip of the horn, to keep the colored part tapering continuously. Other than that, I think these are pretty cool looking!

Hi, I don't think there's any 8 string prototype, I have to confirm with Ernie but there will be 8 string headless available in the next run.

    Hi All,
The prototypes for the production line of ET Guitars are landed to Australia. The run will be announced very soon.
The workmanship on these are very impressive indeed.
The satin finish is perfect the nut is excellent.
The neck profiles are custom designed in Australia and they are very close to Ernie’s thin C profile.
Nazgul Sentinent set in the MIG and Blackhawks in the Katana.
