It depends on what kind of sound you're after but personally I'd go for the ENGL :)

That's a killer deal. As much as the EVH is a 'better' amp IMO, passing on a deal like that would be a bit crazy.

Clean and lead channel share a gain control and 3-band EQ on Fireball 60.
If you need versatility, go for mini 5153.

5150 III no doubt about it.

I have experience with both and 5150 everyday!

I know Tuscon is a drive but I have show coming up in a week in Phoenix if you want to try the 5153 out. I've never played the Engl 60 watt but the 100 watt was killer IMO

The 60 watt version of the Fireball is incredibly disappointing. It's too loud for bedroom levels and cannot cut in a full band mix because of the EQ limitations. The EVH is an absolute monster in a band mix. It actually still sounds pretty good at bedroom levels as well...not amazing though.

that was my main concern. i've played the 100 watt evh and it rips!!! but im broke and 750 with a cab is not bad!

I'd go 5150iii also, I own one and it is killer when cranked. I was underwhelmed with the fireball 60 also, although I recently picked up a fb100 and it is quite nice I have been using it more than the evh.
