Hi ! Im new to the forum , hello :D
Just curious is there anyone who is using this tuning?
Im using this tuning because i love my 6 string guitar too much which is a sweet 2010 chambered gibson les paul standard
    Basically it was a tuned to 7 string drop A but without the #6 string, so it was e b g d a A
It seems odd and tacky but when i get used to it i can play any 7 string metal song ! (Well maybe kinda innacurate but in stage that doesnt really matter )
The pros are unique scale sound like easily string skipping (its easy to do string skipping when there are no strings to skip right?)
But the cons are i cant really use the thicker gauge for the #6 string higher than 048 because i still need it to be able to tuned in e standard for my other band,so while i dont have a chance to buy a proper 7 string right now,my gibson does the job perfectly lol
    Thoughts?

I believe the dudes from Good Tiger and ex The Safety Fire used that tuning in some of their songs.

They used it tuned down half a step on their first two Albums.

Yep Sikth is all (to my knowledge) six string. They only use that tuning on Death of Dead Day though, and it's used on the tracks Bland Street Bloom, Summer Rain, Sanguine Seas, and Part of the Friction. Might've missed one but I think that's it.

Foo Fighters used that on Stacked Actors

Oceansize used a similar tuning for their song Sleeping Dogs and Dead Lions. It's the same as the tuning you described, but tuned down a whole step.
