Hear yeee hear yeee, I challenge all seven stringers to record the heaviest sounding metal breakdowns you can do in E standard!!! You can use a 7 string guitar if you leave off the 7th string, and the other strings are tuned to E standard. You can use a 6 string guitar if all strings are E standard, NO drop D. Lets hear who has the baddest riffs... If the mods can modify the thread, maybe we can add a vote too!!! You have until September 29th to submit your breakdown. Drums (programmed or live) are encouraged, bass will only help you, and a verse before the breakdown would make things interesting, but not necessary. I challenge you, lets hear the battle of the wicked!!!!

note: you can not submit your favorite band clips, this has to be your own playing

The answer to your question is and always will be Sylosis. Also, on this forum, when you say E Standard you have to specify which range of E you're talking about.

Yep. Chances are, someone's going to pull out their 11 and a half string with at least a .170 as their low E if you don't specify.

    The strings going from bass to treble are E, A, D, G, B and E. Their corresponding Hertz (Hz) frequencies are 82, 110, 147, 196, 247 and 300 Hz

Then you have Vektor who tune *up* half a step and is still heavier than 99% of metal bands :hbang:
