Does anyone have an ibanez FR pick guard that they can trace & send me?

    I'd greatly appreciate it.

Getting a Perle FR-7 body and it has direct mount pickups, so I want the pick guard to butt up against the pickup routes, and omit the blade switch as I will install a toggle in the tone pot slot.

I'd be happy with a mailed copy, or a real sized .pdf if anyone would care to do so.

Have you tried contacting Perle themselves? A while ago I was toying with the idea of transplanting the neck and hardware off one of my RGA121s to one of Perle's FR bodies too, and I recall seeing a pickguard option for it on their site. IIRC they don't have the FR listed anymore, but they've gotta have the patterns still...

I'll reach out to him, getting the body from his eBay store.

However, I won't turn down a tracing if anyone can knock one out. I'm gonna use it to create one with a unique mounting scheme of only using the screw holes from the blade switch, but no blade slot, & no perimeter screws.

Do 7- and 6-string bodies have the same measurements? If not, you're going to run into some problems with a traced pickguard as the only FRs with a pickguard are 6-string guitars. AFAIK only one FR7 exists and that one doesn't have a pickguard.

I'm expecting some inconsistencies, such as the pickup route, which I plan to compensate for.
For example, the six string pick guard that Ibanez has on their site (discontinued) is for a guitar with pickup mounting rings, therefore, it doesn't butt up against the pickup route. I will have to make that adjustment.
I just need the overall perimeter, including the cutout for the volume knob.

Perle says " no" on the pick guard.

There are pickguards for RG7620's on Ebay. I put them on my RG7420's with no problem. They're about $25 IIRC. They have downloadable patterns that you print to check fit of the pickguards.

I'm looking specifically for an FR body style pick guard. Not any of the RG style. I'm dumping the RG7620 body that I have now to replace it with the FR from Perle.

If anyone outside of the United States has one, I'd greatly appreciate a tracing.
I'm having a heck of a time finding one to purchase online. Ibanez has discontinued them on their site, and another site doesn't sell to the United States.

Hmm, what I can do is trace it with the pen tool in Photoshop to get you a clean digital line drawing? I can use the size of a pickup ring to figure out how to scale it as close to 1:1 as possible. Ibanez always takes very clear, dead straight photos of all their models, I always use them as a base for the guitar renderings I do, so it should be accurate. I could use this photo:

I forgot that you mentioned the pickups would be direct mounted, but I hope its a clear enough template to modify!
