Hey, everyone! I recently wrote and recorded this song, it's kinda death metal with some djenty stuff as well. I used my Ibanez RG852 for all the rhythm guitar tracks and my RG752 for the leads. It's the first song I've recorded with the Precision Drive and I used Getgood Drums as well. Some mix criticism would be cool if anyone has some constructive stuff to say.
    Anyway, here's a link

The guitars are way too loud IMO. Nice guitar playing though!!

I don't mind the louder-than-usual guitars if that's what you're aiming for. The guitars may benefit from being a little 'wetter'. Overall good stuff! :)

yeah for me, guitars down a few DB and bass up a few DB.
Then both in a bus with slight compression, adjust volume to taste.

Definitely sounds better! The whole thing sounds more glued-together as a whole now. Sweet song and playing too man!

I guess the only thing that I think stands out to be improved is maybe the drums could use a bit more humanizing... The snare to me is especially where the dynamics sound robotic.

That mix is 1000 times better. Guitars are sitting far better in the mix.

Like InCasinoOut stated, the drums do sound pretty sampled so I would suggest is messing with the velocities on the drums so the hits sound slightly different from hit to hit. For instance, around :15 seconds in it becomes obvious that it's samples with the snare hitting as fast as it is with no variation between notes. Possibly messing with the velocities will help with that. Nolly did a solid video going over velocities here.

Other then that the playing is really good and this is over all a really solid mix IMO.

Second mix is definitely better, but like mentioned you have to work on them velocities man! Blast beats with everything at velocity at 127 seems unrealistic and the drums are very obviously sampled. Guitars could also use some more clarity i feel. Good stuff though!
