Hey, I´m looking for a pair of desk stands for my Rokit 6´s and I have to choose between these two:

    https://www.thomann.de/es/isoacoustics_iso_l8r200sub.htm

    https://www.thomann.de/es/fluid_audio_ds_8.htm

The Iso Acoustics are more expensive than the fluid and seems more solid, I think most likely buy them, but I have zero previous experience with monitor stands as until now I´ve decoupled with these typical cheap "foam" stands. Is worth to invest in a good stand? Does it really make a big diference? Thanks in advance.

I am curious to know if it makes a difference too, I have been very happy with Auralex foam pads for monitors.

Yes, It´s a huge price gap from foams to stands so I´d like to know if it´s really worth to invest in.

There is a difference, but lately the in thing has been to use Sorbothane hemispheres instead of the traditional pads.

DIY your own stands. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube. I made my own and they work great for my m-audio bx5s

After seeing some videos on YouTube the Iso Acoustics have convinced me. Already ordered!

I use a cinderblock under each monitor. Tons of mass. Works pretty good.

Total cost is like 3 dollars.

Good call! I've had auralex foam for my monitors and switched to IsoAcoustic stands and am really happy so far.
