    Hi men!

I have a suggestion for the For Sale forums. Can we please be granted the ability to delete our own threads? There are three reasons for this: 1. To keep the forum less cluttered 2. To keep the size of the vB database down and MOST IMPORTANTLY, 3. because we are forced to include our contact info in every FS/FT/WTB thread we make. Some of us put up our e-mail addresses and frankly I don't feel very safe about this. :(

They don't have to be permanently deleted from the database - soft delete should be enough. I'm sure it's not hard to do, as you can set usergroup permissions for each forum. :)

Thank you for looking into this. :)

You don't have to use your e-mail, I simply have put "PMs" every time under contact info and then have it set up so if I do get a PM - it notifies me via e-email. This way, you see an email about the PM, but you don't have to give out your contact info.

What about the ability to lock the thread after a deal is done? Kind of how jemsite does it.

It's only 1 or 2 clicks to report the thread and have a mod lock it.

Stop trying to put people out of work in these tough economic times.

Ooohhh I get you now. Easy peasy....

....don't post your personal email address to public web forums.

No need to thank me. Just know I'm somewhere out there, changing lives, one post at a time.
