Finally finished shooting this video and putting this out.

The people who sort of follow my stuff knew this was coming, for everyone else, basically took my own sound and made a Deftones thing. :frantic:

Using the M80M one octave below the original tuning, because it's fun. For bass I'm using Impact Studios' Inferno Bass, which is a sample based bass plugin based on a Dingwall bass (enough bass for you?) Drums is the usual Toontrack stuff.

I'm glad I got my boy Patrick on board with this, since my main vocalist is currently in a crappy position etc.

Let me hear what you guys think! Thanks for taking your time.

This sounds like a drum and vocal cover with sound design background stuff through my phone speaker

    Badass cover!
mix-wise I think the bass and guitars lack definition in the denser parts of the songs. Consider high-passing the guitars more than you might think you need to to help that bass pop through a bit more and I bet it would help add a touch of clarity to the guitars. Maybe try a boost around 3k to add some good filth to the guitars and a sprinkling of 8k to try and cut more.

    Thanks my boi. :)

I take this as a compliment, haha. Listened to it on monitors yet?

Thanks dude, glad you enjoy it!

Also great of you for the input, I'm using a similar mixing and tone setup for the upcoming EP, I'll definitely tweak those points when it comes up again!

NP, man! Do you have bx_subsynth or Waves RBass? I think either one of those would work pretty well on either the bass or guitar tracks to help create some harmonics that will help the super low stuff actually be heard on smaller speakers.

I don't, but I'll definitely look into those! I totally forgot that approach, thanks for the heads up.
