Did not find any threads, so I thought this would be a good thing to have...

I cried the day Chuck died. His music was so brutal, too

The two saddest things to happen since Death was obviously the death of Chuck, and the fact that Richard Christy went from being one of the greatest drummers in heavy metal history, to getting his balls waxed on the Howard Stern show, while strippers beat him with deflated blow-up dolls or some shit.

Biggest influence on me as a guitar player, and Death is definitely one of my favorite bands of all time. Fantastic thread!

Yeah, I discovered Death kinda late, so I saw that dude on the Howard Stern show long before I heard him play on the Sound of Perseverance. Needless to say, I was very upset.

Death is one of my favorite bands of all times, LOC is awesome album, where Chuck added so many not-metal things, melodies etc, next Death cd could be unbelievable imo.
    RIP Chuck :metal:

Yeah, this man did influence thousands of musicians, and he was truly gifted. A shame he died too soon. :(

Death is untouchable, and Chuck was the Riffmaster General. Songs like Misanthrope, Spirit Crusher, Zombie Ritual, 1000 Eyes..... Nobody writes songs like Chuck did. :metal: One of the best right hands in metal. :yesway:
