Here's my newest mix. I know the kick needs to come down but I'm pretty happy with everything so far minus the mis triggers! But lemme know what you think.

Damn son, I'm impressed. Sounds great. I've got no constructive criticism. If I chose to be picky, I'd say bring the bass up in the mix a smidge.

I like every about it. Definitely nails the ABR sound.

    Details about what you're using?

Hey thanks guys, really appreciate it! Been working really hard on my low end and getting drums to be punchier! As for what I used. Guitars were Pod Farm, Bass was Pod Farm plus a ton of processing with EQ Comp Limiting etc. Drums were slate, blended with others samples I have processed to hell and back haha.

Thanks man! I know the kick and snare are a bit too loud. Gonna work on this mix when my new interface comes in! But it really came down to a lot and I mean a lot of EQ carving to give everything it's respective space.

And that, people, is the perfect example on how a good bass tone can make a mix go from sounding good to sound really fucking beast.

China needs to be a bit louder IMO, to fit the original a bit better that is. I would lower the kick a decent bit, too loud I think. And make the bass a bit meatier. Otherwise very nice, very clear and punchy.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys! I was really stoked on this mix when I finished it. I'm gonna take everything everyone said into account and make those adjustments tonight when I pick up the new interface :) And thanks for the comment on the bass! Was straight DI processed to hell haha. Also was automated in all the breakdowns up a dB or so to hit harder. I automated quite a bit of tracks in this as well to try and make more movement throughout the whole mix. Also really tried to get clanky but not too overwhelming. What people don't really realize is that low end is SO important in mixes. If your low end lacks then your whole mix will lack. If anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask and I'll be happy to help as best I can.

This is awesome man! I use slate too, what do you use for your snare? i blend mine with the sturgis snare and a tiny bit of one of the chango snares! Have a listen to my mix test here - was a bit ago, have worked on the drums a bit since then but yeah haha.
