CES 2017 is going on right now. Anyone planning on building a new rig or upgrading their current one this year?

Nope, my Skylake machine will do me for the next 12-18 months. And ill have use for my old parts for when I switch to X99, and by then I'm sure that Optane and the 4K DRM will be on X99, or the DRM will be outlawed by governments as anti competitive, hopefully.

Only thing for me that stands out is Ryzen, but AMD will need 6-9 months to get drivers to a mature level for me before I thought about a switch to AMD from Intel.

Ya know, I have never had any issues with AMD drivers.

I just doubled my RAM because I kinda felt like it. I'm still maxing out current titles at 1080 90+fps and that works for me. I really dont see the need to go 4k for something as small as a desktop monitor.
