The gauge I have is .009/.011/.016/.026/.036/.046/.062 I have a couple of guitars, 5 string bass. Everything is tuned to Drop B.

At the moment I am tuning to Gb B Gb B Ab E Db

It actually doesn't feel too bad, I sense any lower with that low Gb it'd be flab. Can anyone give me some tips so I can keep everything in Drop B?

    Cheers.

Did you mix up the Ab and E strings? If you are in drop B on the first 6 strings it should be B Gb B E Ab Db

9-46 in that tuning is very loose. Most heavier string gauge packets are quite unbalanced but maybe try an 11-52 or 12 -54 set and see hot that works.

It would help to know what guitar and scale length it is. When I did drop B tuning on my Jackson js-22 I had a .72 on the lowest and I believe a heavy set on top. If I remember correctly I used the standard Ernie ball 8 string pack and used the normal top six and used the 8th string for my 7th string. If that makes any sense.

ahh then I wouldn't go with my suggestion. Might be too tight unless that's what you like. If everything feels fine just try going up a gauge or two on you 7th string maybe a .64. There are a few places you can order single strings or even create your own custom set.
