    I wasn't 100% happy with V1 of my ergonomic guitar design Bastet. That's why I tweaked it here and there and build V2 in November.

    Bastet2 5.jpg

    Specs:
    Body: Swamp Ash
    Top: African Ebony
    Fretboard: Pau Ferro (2mm ABS creme inlays)
    Neck: American Maple
    HS veneer: African Ebony
    Binding: Ivoroid
    Knobs: Rosewood
    Cavity cover: Stainless steel V2A (still WIP)

    Scale: 25.50''
    Bridge: Hipshot .125 fixed
    Tuner: Hipshot Locking Open Gear
    Pickups: SD Custom TB, SD SH2-N HB
    Pots: 2x CTS 500k Audio -> Volume
    Switch: DPTP o/o/o -> 3-way
    Frets: 24 Stainless Steel 2.8x1.45 (mm)
    Strap pins: Dunlop StrapLoks flush mounted
    Nut: Bone

    Changes to V1:
    • Body wood: Mahogany -> Swamp Ash
    • Neck wood: Mahogany -> Maple
    • Fretboard wood: Rosewood -> Pau Ferro, inlays
    • Headstock: normal -> reverse
    • Tuners moved closer together
    • Jack placement: straight plug -> angled plug
    • Neck width: 46mm -> 44mm (at nut)
    • Neck thickness: medium fat -> thin (think Wizard)

    Holy crap!!!!..............
    this looks amazing.

    sidenote: Love the vintage style tuner buttons. Are they just the normal Gibson style ones? Or do they come with the Hipshot!!?

    Those are aftermarket buttons that fit Hipshot tuners.
    I'm not sure of they are OEM, bought them on the bay.

    I don't typically like "ergo" guitars, but this thing looks great:agreed: Granted, I think my dislike mostly comes from the fact that most "ergo" designs are also headless (which I loathe). The headstock plays off the upper horn on the body beautifully, and that would be totally lost with a headless design.

    Really nice work! One question as you're also from Germany: where did you get the Swamp Ash blank?
