    Hey guys,

I used to be a regular on this forum but stopped returning for various reasons.

Anyway, I am getting back into guitar so want some new, challenging stuff to learn.

    Any suggestions?

I'm working on some of the older Psycroptic stuff, definitely challenging for me at least. Really digging Joe Haley's riffing.

Good idea! I think I will finally have a go at Carriers Of The Plague.

Need more suggestions, I don't want to go back to my old practice material.

Black dahlia murder just dropped a new hotness.

Also, The Human Abstract’s Crossing the Rubicon is a fun way to spend an hour at 20bpm, lol.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to learn Everything Went Black by BDM.

Classical pieces for the violin. Learn them using the sheet music, not a tab that dumbs them down.

Any of the early Jason Becker and Cocophany stuff is great fun, not sure what you are used to playing, or what you have already mastered - but its always fun to revisit.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

Jason Richardson has been mentioned quite a lot lately. Can someone send me some of his tabs?

Learn any CHON song (I prefer the earlier stuff, and recommend the album Newborn Sun to dig into) to really test your technique. There's no hiding mistakes behind high-gain when you're shredding on a clean tone.
